With over 135 exclusive showrooms across the nation, Simpolo is a tile and bathware brand that was founded in Morbi in 1977. This IPL season, the brand ties up with Sideways to promote the ‘Tile Ho Toh Simpolo’ campaign, which highlights their proprietary iM+ technology. Simpolo uses its continued relationship with Gujarat Titans, a team that includes cricket players like Rahul Tewatia, Shubhman Gill, and Kane Williamson, to promote its message.
The narrative, which was conceptualized by Sideways, opens with Kane Williamson being perplexed to find food being placed on a tile. Rahul Tewatia adds that the tile is also scratch-resistant as Shubhman Gill continues, pointing out that it is antimicrobial. Williamson is still perplexed by the usage of a tile as a plate despite these explanations, until Gill quips cheekily that it’s all part of a commercial for Simpolo tiles. The advertisement ends with chic tile images that showcase Simpolo tiles created using iM+ technology.
