A new advertising campaign has been released by One97 Communications, the firm that owns the Paytm brand, is the pioneer of QR codes, soundboxes, and mobile payments, and distributes financial services throughout India. By exhibiting Paytm’s payment goods and services, the business hopes to increase the level of current customer engagement.
In line with the main areas of focus in Paytm’s road to recovery, this campaign promotes UPI money transfers, scan and pay, soundbox, Paytm UPI Lite wallet, credit card on UPI, recharges, and bill payments in addition to other payment options accessible on the Paytm app.
From now on, these verticals will account for a sizable portion of Paytm’s GMV for payments. For example, UPI, which formerly powered 70% of Paytm’s GMV for payments, now powers 80%–85% of it.
In reporting its FY24 results, Paytm reaffirmed its dedication to payments as its primary business and stated that it has begun to see recovery across its payment GMV and subscription merchants.
It is committed to increasing market share in the core payments business and anticipates seeing gains in key indicators beginning in Q2 FY2025. Paytm has set the standard for the Indian digital payments sector in recent years with products like the Made-in-India Paytm Soundbox and QR codes, which are examples of industry first innovation.
To emphasize significant facets of Paytm’s primary business, the company has released a number of commercial films. The first movie focuses on UPI Money Transfer, showing viewers how to utilize the Paytm app to send money using UPI.
In order to guarantee smooth UPI payments, Paytm has collaborated with Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), and YES Bank as a Third-Party Application Provider (TPAP) with NPCI. In the second movie, there’s a Scan and Pay feature that lets customers use the Paytm app to instantly pay by scanning any QR code. The Made-In-India Paytm Soundbox, which offers retailers safe payment confirmations, is featured in the third movie. The fourth movie showcases Paytm UPI Lite wallet, which allows users to contribute up to Rs. 4,000 daily and keeps bank statements clutter-free for small-value routine purchases. The fifth movie presents the Rupay Credit Card on UPI, which dispenses with the necessity for real credit cards by allowing users to link their credit cards to UPI and pay at merchant stores by scanning QR codes.
Its focus on ‘Jab Bhi India Future Ka Plan Banaega, humein uske beecho beech paayega, aage bhi Paytm aapka yuhi saath nibhayega’ highlights the company’s commitment to being a reliable partner for all Indians, particularly at significant life events.
A Paytm representative stated, “We have always innovated towards changing aspirations of this nation and evolving needs of our users.” We are more determined than ever to integrate more Indians into the mainstream economy and expand payment infrastructure like UPI, payment QR codes, and Soundbox throughout the entire nation as we get ready for significant growth in FY25. Our advertising campaign embodies our dedication: Paytm will always be at your side as you go forward in life, and we will always be in the center of India’s future aspirations.”
